You should have in the book where folks can buy your seasoning! You have it listed in several recipes. When I researched on where to buy, you only had the Zesty one available and the Signature one is nowhere to be found, but you list it as an ingredient in your recipes! Update the site. Tell folks where to buy it so we can support!
This book is detailed in the sense that it covers everything from Gravy 101 to holiday ham. It literally includes most classic, Southern dishes that come to mind, plus some bonuses! I did not realize that the author was from Mississippi, so some of the recipes have Cajun flare. It’s a bit different than the part of the South where I’m from, so I’m being taught some new things! I felt like some of the recipes were rushed in the sense that they lacked full explanation, but if you’re used to cooking you could figure it out. A novice may have trouble. It also lacked consistency. For instance, one recipe calls for “Nature’s Seasoning,” I had no clue what that was! Then, in a subsequent recipe, it’s listed as “Morton’s Nature Seasoning.” The proper name is actually Morton’s Nature’s Seasons” (which I’m familiar with). People may not know this stuff, so be exact. The jambalaya photo shows bay leaves although there are none listed in the recipe. These are just a couple of examples and they may seem “nitpicky.” However, it’s just important to be precise, detailed, and consistent when sharing recipes and instructions with the masses. Everyone doesn’t have cooking experience and not everyone is from the same region, so things need to be concise. The photos are great and the quality of the cookbook is good.
I love the recipes in this book...especially the Seafood Salad!
